You pulled me down, to depths so black
That the light couldn’t possibly break in
All those colours faded away
Until there was nothing except shades of grey
As I lay there at the bottom in the black
I laid there a while, without so much of a smile
Trying to remember the light breaking through
Then the colours rushed back in
I was floating again
To the surface, they brought me back to you
And I don’t know the way
Or which way I’ll go
But I know there’s nothing down there for me
So I’ll sit here awhile with my thoughts in the light
As the colours surround and embrace me
